REP-0177 error while running in remote server [message #300371]

Following is the error message displayed when running the report today in database. Please find the error message below:

Error While Executing Report:

REP-0177: Error while running in remote server

If anyone have idea please get back!!!

This is what Oracle says:

Quote:

REP-0177: Error while running in remote server.

Cause: Unable to run the specified command line in the remote server.

Action: Check the command line.

Did something change since the last successful execution of this particular report? Do other reports run correctly?

Ya for other reports it is not giving any error!!!! What may be the specific reason??? Is it in command line???

Please, do not use "report message" link for answering a question - just "Reply" to the last (or whichever) message.

Is there any other message (besides REP-0177)? How does DESNAME look like? Is it longer than 20 characters? If so, shorten it to max 20 chars.

Ya follow to that message there is one more error message.

ORA-01843: not a valid month SELECT presentation_title , stearm_flg , DECODE ( stearm_flg , 'N' , '***' , NVL ( TO_CHAR ( TRUNC ( ( TO_NUMBER ( DECODE ( view_length_avg , '0' , '1' , TO_CHAR ( view_length_avg ) ) ) ) / 3600 ) , 'FM00' ) , '00' ) || ':' || FAIL 1

That's the different story: ORA-01843: not a valid month. Pretty clear, isn't it? Fix the date!

This could happen if you are selecting something like

SELECT TO_DATE('02.15.2008', 'dd.mm.yyyy') FROM dual

Obviously, it should have been

SELECT TO_DATE('02.15.2008', 'mm.dd.yyyy') FROM dual
