Hello all,

my report takes more time when i put it on live.

when i run report by compling the form in dummy, it run smooth.
but one problem also there, when i click report's last page it
takes long time. report containts formula column.

how will i make it run smooth, so that it take less time.

It seems that data set you used in development environment differs from the one you have in production. If possible, make those two environments similar (for example, export production and import it into development schema) in order to be able to tune queries you use. It doesn't necessarily be a formula column you mention; could be the main query (or queries, depending on their number).

The first thing to check are the queries you're using. Are they optimized?

hello.

report takes more time to open on live. while running manually by connecting to live it run (means first pages generate with in 4 sec) but when i click to next page it tooks 3-4 sec.
thers's only two formula column.

please advice me to make it run smooth. waiting for ur response.

Apply the performance tuning techniques against the code you use in formula columns.

Also, stop opening a new topic about the same problem. This is the third time I merged topics you have opened. Continue discussion (if any) in existing one.

Moreover, why don't you take advices you got previously? Obviously, you did nothing to solve the problem. Why do you think that opening a new topic will automagically fix the code you've written?

run the exe of the report. I mean are you runnig the report directly after compilation or the exe. because the earlier will take time to execute as you have mentioned.
